PortaOne, Telebreeze Partner on Telco TV Solution
The former company sells business and operational support systems. And through this new relationship, those B/OSSs will be integrated with the Telebreeze IPTV/OTT platform. That platform and related support help with the installation, launch, and management of IPTV and OTT broadcast services.
"Reliability is essential to successful IPTV/OTT services—along with the agility to follow the market with innovative broadcast offerings that meet consumer demand. Together, Telebreeze and PortaOne (News - Alert) are able to deliver these essentials," noted Nick Pesegov, Telebreeze CEO. "We're pleased to be able to partner with PortaOne to make differentiating broadcast services possible to any telecom or ISP the world over."
PortaOne CTO Andriy Zhylenko (News - Alert) added: "One of the most critical marketplace imperatives for service providers is the addition of value-added services that allow them to stand out from the pack. Our technology partnership with Telebreeze gives PortaOne customers the quickest possible path to reliable and profitable triple-play. The combination allows telecoms to create and deploy bundled or one-off packages in any form they wish, with the knowledge that those services will be accurately rated and billed in real-time."
Technavio believes the global IPTV market is poised for compound annual growth of nearly 16 percent between this year and 2021. That growth is being driven by the availability of high-bandwidth internet access to more than half the world’s population, the research firm notes.
“The streaming of videos, online, and live contents has become easy and possible because of the growth and popularity of connected devices,” notes Technavio’s analyst Ujjwal Doshi. “These connected devices greatly support IPTV and all its services. The rise in the Internet traffic volume is driving the popularity of movies, videos, and music along with other shared online content.”
