VoIP Innovations Explains its Provisioning Check Tool
A nice tool that VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) has for its customers that many are not aware of is its Provisioning Check Tool. This tool allows the customer to enter a number and see if we have a carrier that can cover the area for that number per filling out a port request. It also allows the customer to see if we have a carrier that can offer a feature for the number they are provisioning. These features include T38, Outbound CNAM, 411 Directory Listing or SMS.
If you are a VoIP Innovations customer and are interested in accessing this tool from your BackOffice account, here are the easy steps:
- Log in to your BackOffice account;
- Dropdown the Porting menu;
- Click on Provisioning Check;
- Enter the number in the box under TN(s)/NPA (News - Alert)+NXX(s) to Search;
- Select any DID features you would like to search for;
- Click the black button that says Check LNP Availability.
This will tell you if the number(s) you are trying to port to VoIP Innovations is portable or not before setting up a port request. It’s an overall great tool that designed to save our customers time.
There are also some new announcements about VI’s Porting Department. The first is that starting Jan.2nd, they’ve officially adopted new hours. The VI Porting team is now available to customers Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST).
The second announcement is that the company is now in full swing of its Porting Representative System. This was designed so that one Porting Rep is assigned to one port instead of having different reps come in and out depending on the stage of the port. Very soon the company will publish an article that introduces all of its Porting Reps.
