VoIP Innovations Adds Transparency and Reporting Capabilities to Wholesale SIP Termination Services
Wholesale VoIP provider VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) has launched enhanced Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) termination services, delivering additional transparency, reporting and management capabilities to its wholesale SIP termination services.
Thanks to the advanced solution, ITSPs and resellers can view carrier stats making up their least cost routing (LCR) rate deck. They know which carriers are performing and which ones are not. This feature improves transparency in the ecosystem.
Says Jason Tapolci, president of VoIP Innovations, said, “If you want to compete in the wholesale termination market, you have to offer more than just quality and price, you need a service differentiator.”
In addition to individual rate deck reporting and management, the new SIP termination service includes failover management services and LRN and rate query tools.
The termination failover service allows automatic re-routing of traffic through another rate deck when a primary route fails. VoIP Innovations assigns multiple rate decks to each reseller account; the reseller simply chooses the rate deck, sets the failover priority, and failover protection is set. This product shields end users from LCR issues, while giving the reseller the most inexpensive route available.
Other enhancements of the new SIP termination service include a more robust SIP termination dashboard, better report management and more useful tools. The new dashboard provides additional key metrics, graphically displayed in a user friendly way. The rate deck management and termination trend reports give reseller’s access to real-time information.
Additionally, the rate query and LRN lookup tool allow resellers to search a number and receive either the rate associated with that route or the LRN assigned to that particular number.
