Voip Unlimited Introduces DDoS Mitigation Service
Voip Unlimited has implemented a distributed denial of service mitigation service on its enhanced core network.
The new DDoS service is called VU Guard. And the ITSP, which operates a private IP network that serves business customers and thousands of channel partners, is now offering the service at half price.
The company declined to provide the pricing, but said the offering is priced per Gb on the connection. Customers pay for it on a monthly basis. And they can order it easily through the Voip Unlimited online ordering portal.
“As a company which places customer security and satisfaction at the heart of everything we do, we committed to launching DDoS Mitigation as an externally sellable product,” said Managing Director Mark Pillow. “In a cybersecurity world, DDoS mitigation is now as much a commodity as business’ buildings and contents insurance, so that is the model we have based this on.”
Voip Unlimited is based in Poole, Dorset, on the south coast of England. The company says this service is ideal for businesses with sensitive data, companies that prefer an opex monthly cover rather than 98 percent times as much during attack, Ethernet customers, and organisations that would suffer financial loss should their business go offline.
In other recent news, Voip Unlimited in April announced that it has invested a quarter million pounds in its U.K. network. That investment included a inter data center ring update and more than 20-terabits-per-second switching to service London’s financial sector.
“Our skilled engineers made large core network improvements in the dark of the night with minimal downtime, this was a proud moment for me and walks the walk that our network has been built intelligently from day one,” Pillow said. “With the uptake in our Cloud platform Voip Exchange ramping up recently, we brought the core works forward.”
