Truphone Taking MWC Spotlight
Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) (MWC) is well underway, but before you get distracted by the beauty of Gaudi spread throughout Barcelona, the news is coming fast and furious from this convergence of communications leadership. It is industry events that allow insight into what the future holds in for an industry in the midst of transformation.
Today, MWC served as the Truphone’s (News - Alert) stage to provide attendees a demonstration of its next generation integrated SIM solution with Synopsys’ ARC Secure IP Subsystem. Pairing the Truphone embedded SIM software stack, global connectivity and remote SIM provisioning platform with the Synopsys (News - Alert) systems opens the door to a new world of applications and IoT opportunity.
"Increased integration of embedded security functionality in mobile and IoT devices requires a trusted hardware and software SoC environment," said John Koeter (News - Alert), vice president of marketing for IP at Synopsys. "Providing an integrated solution combining Synopsys' ARC Secure Subsystem with Truphone's embedded SIM stack enables developers to implement a highly secure, programmable root of trust that protects devices against complex threats in mobile and IoT targets."
Also unveiled at event, is Truphone Io3, an IoT solution promising MNOs, chip and device manufacturers complete control via a single integrated SIM. The new solutions will be on display all week, offering insight into integration as well as use cases.
Steve Alder, Chief Business Development Officer, Truphone said: "We believe simplicity is key to the future world of IoT. That is why we are launching Truphone Io3 - a platform which offers IoT connectivity, rock solid security and absolute simplicity. We are creating the future we want to see. This demonstration, in partnership with Synopsys, brings to life Io3's functionality for Mobile World Congress delegates."
The world of communications is changing, this we know. And as we sit on the precipice of sky-high IoT expectations, it’s certainly an interesting time to follow the trends.
