Australia's Symbio Delivers Sub-Wholesale MVNO Offer
Australian wholesale telecommunications provider Symbio (News - Alert) Networks has expanded its mobile virtual network operator product portfolio. Its new sub-wholesale MVNO package simply includes 4G mobile coverage and a SIM card.
The new offering is possible via a sub-wholesale agreement Symbio struck with Telstra (News - Alert) Wholesale. (This is in addition to the agency MVNO agreement the two companies already had/have in place). This relationship enables Symbio and its customers to reach 95 percent of the Australian population with 4G and 98.8 percent of it with 3G and 4G services.
Various customers have already signed on to use the sub-wholesale MVNO offering; that list includes Aussie Broadband.
This service provides Symbio customers with more competitive pricing, contractual flexibility, and “unprecedented” management capabilities. For example, organizations employing the sub-wholesale offering will be able to bill their customers directly. That will give those MVNOs more pricing and margin flexibility, Symbio says.
The new offering also features expedited on-boarding as Symbio’s proprietary iBoss allows companies to get to market in four weeks. It can also activate SIM cards within seven seconds of orders being placed. Additionally, the sub-wholesale offer features enhanced services such as roaming options.
“Symbio and MNF Group have a proven track record of delivering innovative, first to market solutions for our customers,” said Rene Sugo, CEO and co-founder of Symbio parent company MNF Group. “While our agency MVNO offer has been welcomed by wholesale customers, we also found that there was a growing demand for services through a sub-wholesale model. This new MVNO offer will give our customers unprecedented control over their own consumers when it comes to billing and communication.”
