VoIP Innovations Introduces Extended DID Inventory
To the ‘common Joe,’ “DID” is simply a word at the beginning of a question, for instance, DID you hear the news out of the Steel City this week? Pardon my awful pun. For businesses, DIDs (Direct inward Dialers) provide much in the way of regional presence, so when you call a company’s customer service line it is a local exchange, alleviating the notion of calling halfway around the world. These virtual numbers provide a way to route calls to your existing number – making it possible to route calls to an unlimited number of extensions with the need for only one number.
Plain and simple, DIDs serve an integral role in business communications, and this week, Wholesale VoIP provider VoIP innovations announced it has extended its DID inventory. The Extended Inventory allows for easier access to numbers, utilizing the VoIP innovations fully redundant SIP network, which spans four U.S. data centers.
Product Manager Tim Linn noted, “In addition to the geographic redundancy, VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) employs the talents of Arbor Networks, the leading provider of network security to protect our network. This combination gives you peace of mind and a partner that you can rely on.”
For access to the extended DID inventory, simply visit BackOffice to sign up. Once logged in, users can click the ‘Extended Inventory’ while browsing a region’s DIDs. From these, users can select and configure DIDs with features such as E911, conference lines, fax-to-email, Caller ID and 411, for example. VoIP Innovations ensures your personal DID storage is never empty with its auto-fill feature and numbers can be purchased and stored as inactive until thrust into action.
DIDs are a nice nuance in communications, empowering more functionality and capability than most realize. VoIP Innovations has you covered.
