Wholesale VoIP Growth Keeps On in 2017
Businesses and consumers today are adopting IP communications at breakneck speed. As this happens, growth opportunities for service providers are also increasing. Wholesale VoIP provider VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) continues to benefit and is doing a great job at making its company name a top one in the industry.
Earlier this year, it was named on the 2016 Fastest Growing Companies list by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
Other accolades for the company in 2016 included an Inc 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies listing, TMC (News - Alert) Product of the Year Award, a Visionary Spotlight Award and a Customer Experience Innovation Award.
It seems the streak is continuing on too. Just this week, its parent company, ABG Capital, was named one of the, “Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania” for 2016.
To hear more about the company’s successes and get some predictions about the future of VoIP, I recently caught up with Sebastian Kiely, VoIP Innovations Product Manager.
VoIP Innovations will also be attending the upcoming ITEXPO business technology event in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The company will be at booth 713 showing off its award-winning Titanium III BackOffice offering.
Kiely predicted there will be some challenges approaching in 2017, especially with the, “sun setting on intercarrier compensation.”
“The back-end money that CLECs have been receiving will draw to an end and lead to pricing changes nationwide,” he said.
Still VoIP Innovations has plans for continued success in place.
This includes offering MMS on all Local and Toll-Free numbers a new and improved fax portal, a new high volume dialer and conversational LD termination product as well as new vendors for termination and origination.
“We feel SMS and MMS are going to continue to grow and will be leading areas of growth for VoIP Innovations.”
Kiely’s bold prediction for 2017 is that there will also be two giant telecom mergers. Only time will tell if this prediction is accurate, which companies it will involve and how may affect players in the space.
