There are only three days and a few hours left until the great minds of the telecommunications industry join together in Miami for ITEXPO. We’re thrilled to be attending another great show where we get to meet new people and learn about exciting new things. You can find VoIP Innovations (News - Alert) at Booth 606 if you want to drop by and say hello or hear about the NEW FEATURES we have in store for our industry leading BackOffice, Titanium III.


Another exciting announcement I want to make about the show is that Nick Medina, Vice President of Business Development for VoIP Innovations, will be a featured speaker on Friday. January 31. He will be speaking in the 10:00-10:45 session, along with TransferTo’s Marcello Licht, on how to put together the key pieces for a successful VoIP business.

While I’m on the topic of ITEXPO (News - Alert), did you happen to catch the article we posted this week explaining what exactly will be going on there? It was pretty informative, so you might want to check that out by clicking here!

Another great post we had this week talked about the changes that you can expect to see in the VoIP market in 2014. If your business doesn’t keep up with the changes in technology, then you’re likely to get left behind. Some of the things that were mentioned were new software, hardware and gateways. The article wraps up saying that staying competitive and current is the most important thing to make sure your VoIP business continues to thrive.

This week we also got to introduce you to our wonderful Support Team. You open tickets and talk with these guys all the time. They’re a special VoIP Innovations group (just like our Porting Team!) and I wanted to make sure that our customers could put a face to the voice they hear on the other end of their phone. Take a minute to learn some more about Randy, Dustin, Tom, Justin, Ian, John and Cameron!

Here are a few things we have coming up next week:

How to ensure a smooth port – Trichelle, one of our Porting Reps, wanted to offer a set of tips that could help our customers get ready to port a number. She provided four things are needed to begin the port and make sure everything run smoothly.

Can a DoS attack take down your VoIP System – DoS (Denial of Service) attacks are happening with increasing frequency across the internet. It just makes sense to address this security issue before it becomes a problem for YOU!

Basic PBX (News - Alert) Security Precautions – Can you tell that we want our customers to be a secure as they can be? Ian Hambelton, one of our Support Reps, wanted to explain to customers how to not get hacked in 60 seconds.

Yvonne Iwanejko, VoIP Innovations: As my closing remark, I want to extend a warm welcome to the newest VoIP Innovations Porting Representative, Yvonne Iwanejko, who started this week. She attended Bradford School of Business where she graduated in December and she is joining us from David’s Bridal where she worked as a Bridal Consultant. Welcome to the team Yvonne!
