The wholesale VoIP market is seriously expanding, and reflectively, competitive carriers continue to seek different and innovative ways to generate revenue and remain top-choice with best-of-breed technology and solutions. The hot topic on carrier’s minds throughout this is how to profitably deliver VoIP in the rapidly evolving wholesale market. The company continues to expand its presence in the industry, having also attended last week’s ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin 2012, which took place at the Austin Convention Center located in Austin, Texas, serving as the world’s largest technology and communications event of its kind.

At the event, TMC’s (News - Alert) Amanda Ciccatelli sat down with Corey Potts, VP of Sales, VoIP Innovations, where he exclusively detailed what the company is currently up to and what they’re planning in the near future.

Potts detailed that VoIP Innovations continues to expand its network and strive to have the largest footprint for origination in the industry, as well as reaching its goal to warehouse over 500,000 phone numbers. Additionally, when asked what sets the company apart from its competitors in the wholesale VoIP space, such things as “ease of use” incorporating month-to-month agreements and avoiding long-term contracts and complicated MSAs were at the top of the list.

“We make all services available to our customers, such as DIDs, origination, termination, toll-free, 911, and customers are able to pick and choose what they want to use with us,” Potts explained. “So we offer everything a-la-carte.”

VoIP Innovations attended ITEXPO this year to increase product and brand awareness, and the event’s expected 7,500 attendees definitely helped the company in its efforts. You can check out the entire interview below:

Speaking on ITEXPO, Potts said, “It’s a nice central meeting point to be able to see our customers, shake a hand and have a conversation. You really don’t get to do that too often.”

What are the company’s plans for the future? “We’re still just expanding the footprint and doing right by our customers; listening to our customers on their needs; enhancing our BackOffice; we have an API that customers can tie in to be able to order DIDs and update 911, just continually listening to our customers and enhancing our product.”
