NetComm Wireless Limited Launches WiFi Data and VoIP Gateway for SoHo

July 02, 2012
By Allison Boccamazzo, Managing Content Producer

Netcomm Wireless Limited will be taking a load off of personal and Small Office Home Office (SoHo) users today with the latest addition to its recently launched Fibre Series. This WiFi Data and VoIP Gateway (News - Alert) will provide users instant access to high-speed broadband via their voice of an ADSL2+, fibre, or 3G/4G USB connection.

This new addition was developed aiming to transform wireless performance with synchronized WiFi (News - Alert) data transmission over two wireless networks. It will also simultaneously work to support demanding user activities with up to three wired connections to Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.

Additionally, the advanced NF3ADV comes equipped with a built-in ADSL2+ modem, Gigbit WAN port, and a USB port for 3G/4G modems to connect users to ADSL today, fibre, and 3G/4G anytime anywhere. It is also designed to support bandwidth-intensive social, communication, gaming, and entertainment activities – whether at home, in the office, or at a temporary location such as a holiday home. The NF3ADV drastically enhances wireless speed and efficiency, which gives users access to two separate wireless networks. Even more, video streaming and other high-bandwidth activities can share a 5GHz radio band, while wireless devices (ie. laptops, tablet computers) simultaneously operate on a separate 2.4 GHz frequency to eliminate interference caused by single channel data congestion.

This new Dual Band WiFi Data and VoIP Gateway ultimately prepares users for the impending global shift to fibre connectivity, while continuing to support future requirements with next-generation IPv6 addressing and energy saving features. It also features:

·         In-built base station enables low-cost Internet VoIP calls

·         Two USB ports to connect a 3G/4G modem

·         An external hard disk drive for shared access to password secure media An FXO port for landline back-up

·         Six powerful WiFi antennas

·         WSP button for simple wireless network setup and advanced security

"The NF3ADV reflects our commitment to design innovation and excellence as well as our focus on staying ahead of network advances to provide personal and business users with a device that will optimise their online activities well into the future," commented Craig Turner, general manager, Product Management, NetComm Wireless.
