May 30, 2012

By Allison Boccamazzo, Director of Brand Strategy

This week, Virtutone was pleased to announce the good news: it has secured contracts for an estimated 17.7 million minutes per month of wholesale long distance from customers in its very first month of wholesale operations.

Virtutone, based in Sherwood Park, Calif. specializes in supplying managed telecommunication services including VoIP, Fax over IP services, hosted PBX (News - Alert) services, DSL and T1 data circuits, wireless solutions for mobile workforces and SCADA networks, and network management and IT related products.

"We have surpassed our initial targets for Virtutone's launch into the wholesale market. With the quality and price we are offering, we are getting an overwhelmingly positive response from Canadian, US, and international customers," stated Jason Allen, Virtutone's president and CEO in a statement. "In addition, our sales team is engaged in numerous negotiations which we are confident will result in new customer wins. We look forward to providing continued successful updates as these deals come in.”

Further, the company has reported its financial and operating results for the year ending January 31, 2012, highlighting its six consecutive profitable quarters and a remarkable increase in assets over the last year.

"This year has been an important one for Virtutone," commented Colin Campbell, CFO of Virtutone. "Not only have we completed a significant upgrade to our infrastructure, which has allowed us to automate most of our processes, but we have done so while remaining profitable. We take great pride that our customers have chosen Virtutone for their telephony needs. With the addition of our wholesale division, we expect continued growth in the future."

With the industry constantly changing and evolving, Virtutone may find even more advantages readily available in the near future.
