VoIP Provider Fonality Delivers over Three Billion Phone Calls via Cloud-based Platform

Business communications company Fonality announced that it has delivered more than three billion phone calls through its cloud-based platform.

To small and mid-size businesses (SMBs), the company offers VoIP, unified communications (UC) and contact center desktop and mobile solutions. These solutions are easy to use, simple to manage and affordable to deploy, which enable SMBs to communicate more effectively.



Company officials said that with its innovative solutions, Fonality (News - Alert) can help growing businesses save up to 60 percent versus traditional legacy systems.

“For too long, growing businesses have been constrained by the cost, complexity and functionality of legacy business communications providers,” said Rick Bushell (News - Alert), chief technology officer at Fonality.

The company knows that forward-thinking SMBs are actively adopting cloud-based solutions that will dramatically reduce costs and improve productivity, Bushell said.

“With new innovations, such as our recently announced Fonality Heads Up Display(HUD) Mobile, we are continuing to help SMBs work smarter and faster by sharing the right information with the right person at the right time regardless of location,” said Bushell.

The number of calls completed by Fonality over the cloud grows, every day. Company officials said that the company currently delivers a daily call volume in excess of four million calls.

Recently, Webtorials’ study on SMB mobility trends noted that 43 percent of SMBs plan to deploy cloud-based or hosted mobile solutions to improve communications. Leveraging Fonality’s cloud-based and hybrid-hosted solutions, organizations across industries are improving productivity as well as enhancing customer service.

Fonality's cloud-based model provides the same services of traditional IP systems but eliminates the need for costly hardware, infrastructure or lengthy implementation cycles. Company officials said that the total cost of ownership is dramatically reduced and users enjoy access to powerful communications services usually reserved for the largest of companies.

Earlier in July, the company announced availability of Fonality PBXtra 5.2, a hybrid hosted solution that is capable of blending cloud and premise-based VoIP technology to enhance communications efficiency and flexibility.
