Wholesale VoIP Leader Offering Direct On Net/Off Net Canada Termination Routes
The good news keeps on coming for nationwide wholesale VoIP provider Alcazar Networks.
As of last week, Alcazar Networks is now offering direct on net/off net Canada termination routes at significant savings, building upon Alcazar’s decision last month to cover 100 percent of Canada which includes over 26,400 routes. These Canada routes are in addition to the wholesale VoIP company’s full US48 dialer termination deck which currently has over 140,800 routes.
The savings of Canadian routes are as much as 20 percent, according to John Chisca, vice president of Alcazar Networks.“Until recent, Alcazar Networks only provided US48 termination but due to overwhelming requests, we have added direct suppliers to our termination offering,” Chisca told TMCnet. “Customers that were using multiple carriers will now have the ability to use Alcazar Networks for not only their US48 termination but also for their Canadian termination needs. Keeping quality in the foreground, we are still able to offer our customers termination at a savings!”
“Offering Canada termination for both short duration and long duration calling was always part of the plan, but the demand expedited the time frame of the product,” he added. “We're very proud to offer this product addition to our arsenal of services.”
Alcazar Networks provides a wide range of services including wholesale origination and termination, T.38 fax compatibility, nationwide e911 (News - Alert) services, CNAM publishing / lookups, directory publishing, and API provisioning access.
When Alcazar Networks first opened in 2003, it directed its attention toward the retail market and started providing “cutting edge products and service” for small to medium sized companies. Over the years, however, the company began to cast its eyes on the wholesale VoIP market.
In addition to recently covering 100 percent of Canada, the wholesale VoIP provider also announced that it offers a low-cost local termination option for VoIP calls.
Alcazar Networks has expanded its resume of services to now include wholesale local termination (outbound), an offering that promises to provider carriers with substantial cost savings as customers can terminate calls locally at roughly 50 percent of standard intrastate charges. Traffic may be originated anywhere, then handed to Alcazar Networks over a SIP handoff (dedicated facility or public Internet).
Alcazar Networks first began product testing about six months ago and is now excited about spreading the word about its latest offering.
“We continue to leverage our network, and partners to make sure every product to the customer benefits their bottom line in these markets,” Alcazar Networks’ President Gavin Grabias told TMCnet in a recent interview. “We currently are only terminating to Verizon (News
- Alert) endpoints, however this will expand as our team is done analyzing the impact of terminating to other carriers in the area.”
