Wholesale VoIP Leader Allworx to Expand Marketing Efforts

June 27, 2011

By Carrie Majewski (née Schmelkin), Director of Content Marketing, Content Boost

Allworx (News - Alert), a wholly owned subsidiary of PAETEC, a company that develops award-winning Internet Protocol (IP) phone and wholesale VoIP services, and ScanSource have inked a partnership to expand their marketing and sales efforts of the Allworx product line to include Latin America and the Caribbean.

ScanSource (News - Alert) Latin America, a leading international value-added distributor of specialty technology products, will now carry the entire Allworx product line that consists of its VoIP premise-based key systems and PBX (News - Alert) systems. The products have found their home in a variety of businesses ranging from small office/home office (SO/HO) environments to those businesses with 250 users.

Allworx’s products provide a complete IP solution for end users and utilize SIP Trunking, as well as traditional carrier services, to offer flexibility to meet the basics of the market demand in Latin America.

"Given the expansion of the Central American Free Trade Agreement, we expect an increased number of businesses to have a presence in both Central America and the United States. ScanSource is already a very important partner for us in the United States, through its ScanSource Communications sales unit, and has a solid presence in the entire Latin American marketplace," said Chris Hasenauer, president of Allworx. "As part of our strategy with ScanSource, we're refocusing our products and marketing for resale in Latin American countries such as Colombia and Mexico, as well as in other markets that adhere to U.S.-based standards, including Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic."

Working with ScanSource Latin America, Allworx has already appointed and trained several third party resellers in the region.

In related industry news, Alcazar Networks, a nationwide wholesale VoIP provider, recently added dialer friendly wholesale termination to its already extensive list of VoIP offerings.

“In the competitive international call center outsourcing market and wholesale VoIP termination services, challenges such as call quality, rates and service availability issues are pushing call centers and service providers to the limit,” John Chisca, vice president of Alcazar Networks, told TMCnet in a recent interview. “Alcazar Networks Inc. offers a solution – otherwise very rarely available – to help you firmly stand your business grounds without compromising on call quality with a local support desk, when you need it, to ensure high service availability on premium routes with the best price and quality ratio.”

“We service a wide variety of call centers and contact centers, all of which expect the highest levels of uptime, reliability and customer service,” he added. “We take great pride in our ability to deliver consistent results in this demanding environment.”
