Wholesale VoIP Company Expands Dialer Termination Footprint to Cover Canada
June 09, 2011

Last month, a nationwide wholesale VoIP provider spread the word that it offers dialer friendly wholesale termination in addition to wholesale origination, wholesale termination, toll free termination, T.38 services and e911 (News - Alert) services.
This week, Alcazar Networks announced that it has expanded its dialer termination footprint to cover 100 percent of Canada which includes over 26,400 routes. These Canada routes are in addition to the wholesale VoIP company’s full US48 dialer termination deck which currently has over 140,800 routes.
"We've been working on expanding our dialer termination footprint for the past few months, and I'm happy to say it's finally here!," John Chisca, vice president of Alcazar Networks, told TMCnet. "The demand for US48 and Canada dialer traffic has been overwhelming. Making Canada available for our dialer termination customers has allowed them to not only save but to use one company, rather then having a second termination carrier providing their routes"
While a lot of companies offer wholesale termination, they often stay away from dialer termination because they can experience poor dialer deck rates and poor connectivity between every call, according to company officials at Alcazar Networks. However, for Alcazar Network, it was imperative to meet a market need.
“In the competitive international call center outsourcing market and wholesale VoIP termination services, challenges such as call quality, rates and service availability issues are pushing call centers and service providers to the limit,” Chisca told TMCnet in a recent interview. “Alcazar Networks Inc. offers a solution – otherwise very rarely available – to help you firmly stand your business grounds without compromising on call quality with a local support desk, when you need it, to ensure high service availability on premium routes with the best price and quality ratio.”
“We service a wide variety of call centers and contact centers, all of which expect the highest levels of uptime, reliability and customer service,” he added. “We take great pride in our ability to deliver consistent results in this demanding environment.”
Alcazar Networks first decided to offer dialer friendly wholesale termination after it was approached by call centers who were asking for the service. Alcazar Network’s dialer termination is advantageous for companies seeking the service as Alcazar Networks guarantees its dialer routes for customers.

- The Advantages of Using SIP Trunks over a PRI from the Phone Company: A Primary Rate Interface (PRI) is the basic connection used by phone companies that allow multiple voice and data paths to share a common circuit. The PRI consists of 23 B channels, which carry voice and data, and 1 D channel, which carries signaling data for the other 23 channels. This ratio is fixed and channels must be added in multiples of 23 should you need to add more. Each PRI requires data communication hardware on either end.
- VoIP and Business Continuity: An organization's communication system is the most important aspect of any business continuity plan. Without an effective method for people to communicate with one other, all other activities become moot.
- What is a SIP trunk?: A SIP trunk is a data connection that utilizes Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) and carries voice over IP (VoIP) traffic. The SIP trunk defines the connection between two voice switches and can carry multiple VoIP calls simultaneously. The trunk is then divided into logical pathways, called channels. Each channel carries one voice conversation.
